One of the most special trips to plan are destination weddings. For so many brides the idea of having their wedding in a beautiful place away from home sounds like a dream but can easily become overwhelmed with planning it all. I truly believe that everyone should have the wedding of their dreams so much that I plan destination weddings, including bachelor/bachelorette parties for free.

I know, it sounds bananas. There’s no hidden fees or loopholes.

This sweet city in Mexico is sure to provide all of the romantic beach feels you’re hoping for on your big day. Puerto Vallarta provides the perfect accommodations and entertainment you’re looking towards for your guests staying out of town.

Hawaii

With 6 main islands to choose from, this location offers many beautiful spots to choose from. The islands are best known for their tropical foliage, volcanoes, waterfalls, and beaches with gold, red, black and even green sands. One of the best parts about traveling here from the U.S. is that there’s no passport required for you or your guests.

Cancun, Mexico

The Top 10 Group Vacations

Have you been thinking about taking a trip with a group of friends lately? Group trips are the best way to connect and have a blast. I personally take a trip with friends every year and we always have a great time.

Here are my top 10 favorite group vacation spots.

Ocean Cruises

These are so much fun because they’re typically a longer trip and are usually going to exciting places with a ton to offer.

River Cruises

Similar to the ocean cruise, these are normally a bit longer than a normal cruise trip and are always a blast.

Jamaica

Jamaica is always one of my favorite places to go from the food and drinks to all the excursions available, this place is a must for group trips!

Napa

How could this one not scream GIRL’S TRIP! If you’re looking for somewhere to relax in wine country with all of your best girlfriends, this is that place to be. Delicious drinks, beautiful scenery, could you ask for more?

Mexico – Riviera Maya, Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta

There are so many amazing things to do in Mexico. Not only can you lay out on beautiful beaches and drink amazing drinks but there are also some things that I bet you didn’t know about. Did you know that certain parts of the year allow for whale watching in Cabo? What about going helmet diving if you don’t have your diver’s license?

Ireland

Ireland with a group of friends is always so much fun. A pint at the oldest Irish pub, touring the Jameson distillery, and adventuring through the Bunratty castle built in 1500, yes please!

London

It’s time to vacay like royalty in the amazing city of London. One of the best parts of traveling here is that there is so much to see and do. One of my favorites is always jumping on the London Eye. Getting to see a full view of the city from above never gets old.

Rome

The foodie in me goes wild when we take group trips to Rome. Pizza, gelato, pasta…it’s everything you’ve dreamed it to be and more. Something fun that my friends and I have done before was taking the electric bike tour. It was not only incredible but it left us with so many fun and hilarious memories of riding around the town.

Peru

Visiting Peru is like finding a secret treasure that people don’t talk about nearly as much as it deserves. Exploring Machu Picchu with my friends was one of the most amazing experiences. If you do decide to go, be sure to purchase your Machu Picchu tickets in advance as they have a daily person limit to get in.

Hawaii

Seriously, do I need to even go on about this one?! Hawaii is one that I would love to take yearly trips with our friends to. We never get sick of the beautiful beaches, delicious island food + drinks, and scenery that will knock you off your feet.

Thailand

Thailand is the hidden gem you never knew you had to see. Not only is this trip one of the most affordable trips to take (letting you live like royalty!), it’s also one of the most beautiful places filled with the kindest locals. Railay is one of the most beautiful and serene beaches that you won’t want to leave off of your itinerary.

I’m planning a trip to Cairns right now and I just wanted to write about it really quickly because it is one of my most memorable vacations that Ive ever taken. Cairns will always hold a special place in our hearts because that is where we took out honeymoon trip to.

The First Thing to Know When Taking a Vacay to Cairns, Australia

First things first, the correct pronunciation of this city is CANS.

Why You Should Take a Vacay to Cairns, Australia

This is a place that you should not miss when you go to Australia. Side note: if you’ve never been to Australia before, you have to! It’s only a three hour flight from Sydney and well worth the flight.

The town itself has so much to offer. Boutiques, bars, shops and casinos line the streets of this little oasis.

As if you needed another reason, one of the highest attractions is because it’s close to the Great Barrier Reef and Port Douglas.

The Highlights of Taking a Vacay to Cairns, Australia

Some of the highlights from our last trip there was obviously The Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda, and the Zoo. Every excursion that we did was amazing and well worth it. I can’t wait to revisit some of these.

Traveling to Antigua at Galley Bay Resort

I thought that I had seen some of the most beautiful water in the world, but I definitely have to say that being able to look down and just see the fish swimming was an amazing sight to see!

When I visited Antigua, I stayed at the fabulous Galley Bay Resort. Let me tell you about this little slice of heaven. This felt like more than just your average resort. Each staff member went above and beyond with warmth and care with every interaction. The manager was a true pleasure and even knew a lot of the guests by name as many travelers return annually for visits.

After a long day of air travel I usually like to get to my room and relax for about an hour before I start exploring, but as soon as I got to my room I was in awe! The accommodations were amazing but the view was absolutely breathtaking.

Activities When Traveling to Antigua at Galley Bay Resort

The staff that brought me to my room mentioned that snorkels and masks were provided for each guest. I changed into my suit, grabbed the masks, and headed down the stairs. In 5 steps I was on the beach.

There was a Coral Reef that was immediately out in the ocean, so the snorkeling was easily accessible. It was just an amazing experience to be able to walk straight out the door for hours of swimming in the ocean and snorkeling.

I enjoyed the snorkeling so much, it became a daily ritual-something I hadn’t even intended on doing in the first place!

Snorkeling was just one of the many water activities they had available. The best part about them is that they were included in the resort-no extra cost! If you’re worried about how to navigate a new water activity, no worries, their staff is there ready to guide and help you with whatever you need.

I went kayaking for the first time and I absolutely loved it. If you’ve never been, you totally have to try it. Not only is it fun, but it’s also a killer workout. The staff advised us on where to keep close and where it was safe to explore which made adventuring out on the kayaks even more exciting.

Eats and Treats When Traveling to Antigua at Galley Bay Resort

Food-that is a great question that I get about almost every resort. While I’m not a very picky eater, being allergic to seafood had me at first a bit apprehensive to eat in the Caribbean. I was pleasantly surprised when we went to dinner for the first night and they were having barbecue. The table was full of bbq pig, chicken, fish, and all sorts of amazing sides including coleslaw and corn on the cob-which I may have gone back for seconds or thirds for! I know. You’re a bit confused. What is special about coleslaw and corn on the cob. Well friend, I’m so glad you asked. Two words. Caribbean style. If you’ve never tried it, you have to! Your world will be forever changed. Sweet and tangy pieces of pineapple mixed in with crunchy delicious slaw and corn on the cob soaked in sweet cream- oohh I can almost taste it now!

Drinks When Traveling to Antigua at Galley Bay Resort

Usually following the question about food comes one about drinks. I mean after all, this is vacation! I am happy to say that they carry a higher end volume of alcoholic beverages and even some wine. They even have a cute little rum shack that we were able to go over to. There’s over 100 different rooms in this little rum shack. We did a tasting there one night and it was so fun!

The resort and all of its dining options had such an essence about it. Their staff was absolutely phenomenal. It was obvious that all of the staff truly enjoyed working there, which always make a huge difference throughout your stay.

Overall this trip was absolutely amazing and I can’t wait for our next trip there.

1. KROSER Backpack - This bag is EVERYTHING – it is what I call a Mary Poppins bag. It is sleek enough to go over your arm at an event and the straps come out of the back to make is a handy back pack

Not to mention that it’s, water repellent and very travel friendly.

Travel Hack: I personally pack it inside of my large backpack so I have only one carry on.

2. Silicone Wedding Rings - They are a must for men and women when traveling. Not only do they “stretch” when you swell, the functionality of having them when you are on adventures is less worry-some.

3. APIE Portable Wireless Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker  -This Bluetooth speaker is a must for jamming out when you are getting ready in your room or you want to jam to your fav podcast. The best part? It’s waterproof!

4. Open Front Poncho -Any wrap is great but I especially like this one because it is lightweight enough and heavy enough to be completely versatile and stylish

5. Portable Charger- I own about 10 power banks and this has to be in my top 2! It powers with the same lightning cord that you use to power up your iPhone. With 4 ports it is a life saver with multi-person travel

6. Super Soft Neck Support Travel Pillow- This one may seem obvious but, I have tried them all and by far this is the lightest and easiest one to travel with. I love the size and the functionality of it especially on LONG flights. Plus it’s machine washable!

7. Outlet Travel Power Strip Surge Protector- There is nothing worse than one plug in a hotel room or cabin. This is something that has saved our lives (battery life that is!) more times than I can count.

8. TSA Laptop Backpack- This beast carries it ALL. If I were to show you all of the things I had in every nook and cranny of this bag – you would be amazed and it’s my go-to carry on!

9. MediTac Extra Heavy Moleskin- I keep a roll of this in my bag at all times. It’s great for sore spots on feet. I’m always amazed with how each place in the world affects your feet differently. This saves the hot spots that might arise.
